What is Stellar Launch, and who is it for?

Stellar Launch is a launch and discovery platform for tech products. Makers — founders, indie hackers, and marketers — submit their projects, schedule a launch date, and the community upvotes and comments. Early adopters use it to discover new startups and tools before everyone else.

Is Stellar Launch free to use?

Yes. Browsing, upvoting, and commenting are always free, and you can launch a project on the Free tier at no cost. Paid tiers add perks like guaranteed backlinks, earlier launch dates, and homepage features — see the Pricing page for a full comparison.

Question 3

How do I submit a project?

Accepted Answer

Sign in, then open Submit a Project. You'll need a name, a short tagline (up to 160 characters), a description, your website URL, a logo, and at least one category, tech stack, and platform. Once submitted, you pick a launch tier and schedule your date.

What sign-in options are available?

You can sign up with an email and password, or continue with Google or GitHub. Google One Tap is also supported for a faster sign-in.

Why do I need to verify my email?

Accepted Answer

Email verification keeps accounts secure and cuts down on spam. After signing up, click the link we email you — it's valid for 24 hours. If it expires or you don't receive it, sign in again to have a new verification email sent.

Question 6

I forgot my password. How do I reset it?

Accepted Answer

On the sign-in page, choose 'Forgot password' and enter your email. We'll send a reset link that's valid for 1 hour. If you signed up with Google or GitHub, use that provider's button instead — those accounts don't have a Stellar Launch password.

Question 7

Why am I asked to verify that I'm human?

Accepted Answer

We use a Cloudflare Turnstile check on sign-up, sign-in, and password reset to block bots. It usually completes automatically. If the check fails, refresh the page and try again, and make sure your browser or extensions aren't blocking scripts from Cloudflare.

When do launches go live?

Accepted Answer

Every launch goes live at 8:00 AM UTC on its scheduled day. We release a limited number of projects per day so each one gets meaningful visibility.

Question 9

How many projects launch each day, and how far ahead can I schedule?

Each day we launch up to 5 free and 5 basic projects, plus 3 premium projects per week (premium launches run on Tuesdays). Free users can schedule up to 180 days ahead, while Basic and Premium users can schedule up to 90 days ahead.

What's the difference between the launch tiers?

Accepted Answer

Free ($0) puts you in the standard queue with a homepage feature and a dofollow backlink if you finish in the daily top 3. Basic ($6.49) adds a guaranteed dofollow backlink and earlier launch dates. Premium ($34.99) is featured on the homepage for 7 days and includes a dedicated SEO article written by our team. See the Pricing page for the full breakdown.

How are daily winners and rankings decided?

When non-premium projects finish their launch day, we rank them by upvotes and award the top 3 spots. Ties share the same rank, and projects with zero upvotes aren't ranked. The best projects are showcased on the Winners page.

Question 12

How do checkout and payment work?

Accepted Answer

Paid tiers and add-ons are one-time payments (no subscriptions) processed through our payment provider's secure hosted checkout. After you complete payment, your purchase is confirmed automatically and your launch or order moves forward.

What is your refund policy?

Accepted Answer

It depends on the product. Premium Launches and the Domain Booster are non-refundable because work begins right away. Guest posts are fully refunded if we don't approve your submission.

Question 14

I paid but my launch still shows “payment pending.” What should I do?

Accepted Answer

Payments usually confirm within a few minutes. A paid launch stays in 'payment pending' only until we receive confirmation, then moves to 'scheduled' automatically — reloading the payment success page normally finalizes it. If a payment isn't completed within 24 hours the draft is marked as payment failed, but it is not deleted, so nothing is lost. If you were charged and it's still pending after several minutes, email support@stellarlaunch.org with your payment reference.

What are sponsored listings?

Sponsored Listings promote a launched product for a full calendar month across the homepage feed, the sidebar, and our newsletter. They're clearly labeled "Sponsored" and don't affect organic rankings. Pricing is $49.99 per month and only 6 slots are available each month. You'll need at least one launched or ongoing project to book one.

How do guest posts work?

A guest post is a one-time $24.99 article of 500–2000 words with up to 4 dofollow links to your own site. We review submissions within 72 hours; if approved it's published permanently on our blog, and if it's rejected you receive a full refund.

Question 17

What is the Domain Booster?

Accepted Answer

The Domain Booster ($99.99) is a package where our team writes unique product reviews across four high-authority network domains, giving you multiple backlinks. Delivery takes about 15–18 business days, and it's non-refundable because work starts immediately.

Question 18

How is my personal data handled? Do you sell it?

Accepted Answer

No — we never sell your personal data, and we don't use cross-site advertising or tracking cookies. We're GDPR- and CCPA/CPRA-compliant and encrypt data in transit. Note that details you submit about your product are shown publicly on the site. Our Privacy Policy has the full details.

Question 19

Is my payment information secure?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Payments are handled entirely by our PCI-compliant payment providers through their hosted checkout. Stellar Launch never sees or stores your full card details.

Question 20

My image or logo won't upload. What's wrong?

Accepted Answer

Make sure you're signed in and using a supported format (WebP, PNG, JPEG, or BMP). Logos and submission images must be 1 MB or smaller. If a file is too large, compress or resize it and try again.

Question 21

My upvote isn't registering. Why?

Accepted Answer

You need to be signed in to upvote, and you can only upvote a project once (tapping again removes your vote). To prevent abuse we limit upvotes to 100 every 5 minutes, with a 2-second gap between actions on the same project. If you're voting very quickly, wait a moment and try again.
